Bhagavad Gita - Verse 6.6

"For him who has conquered the mind, the mind is the best of friends; but for one who has failed to do so, his mind will remain the greatest enemy."

1.Don't search for pleasure outside your goal.

2.Mastery of the mind before mind control.

Don't destroy thoughts, give them the right direction.
Tip: Affirmations and meditation.

3.The weakness of the mind arises from considering yourself weak.

Avoid guilt and complaining.
Tip: "Whatever I am thinking, my mind is going to be like that and that is what I am going to suffer." Tell yourself this line mentioned above, and negative thoughts will fade away for that time being.

4.Use your imagination carefully and constructively.

The power of imagination: Intelligence + Energy + Emotion = Reality.

5.Never run to extremes.

Let the mind be cheerful but calm. Don't do anything to an extreme, as the mind will react to every extreme.
Balance your actions such that your mind is calm and joyful.

7.Practice, detachment, and devotion.

Practice these in solitude.
Devotion towards God will be very helpful. You can achieve anything with the help of these three tools.
